Our Approach
How We Replace Your Tap
First we close the stopcock or the under-sink isolation valve and drain the line. We loosen the backnut, lift out the old tap and clean the mounting hole of any old sealant or limescale. If the flexible hoses or isolation valves are perished, we flag them before fitting the new tap so you do not get a leak a week later.
We mount the new tap, wrap the threads with PTFE tape, connect the supply hoses and tighten the backnut to a firm seal. Then we open the stopcock, run hot and cold, and check every joint and the base for drips. We flush the line to clear debris, refit the aerator and wipe down the area before we test the flow with you.
